ABOUT CAZREN

The Central Arizona Renewable Energy  Network (CAZREN) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of  renewable energy, energy efficiency and green design for the Central Arizona regions and climate through education and networking.  We are located in Prescott, Arizona, which serves as the headquarters for the network and includes Yavapai County and Central Arizona.

The purpose of this new organization is to create a network whereby individuals, designers, construction professionals, businesses, educators, and others can participate in the promotion and use of renewable energy and green design.  We plan to provide community education, a job training center  and a Community Resource Center.

Design that responds appropriately to the local climate
is the first step in creating an energy efficient building,
including adequate insulation levels, solar orientation,
high efficiency windows, internal thermal storage

materials and other design techniques.
